PS I saw you posted that you were in Miami for your book tour and lodged at the Biltmore. Mitchell of Books & Books and I go way back having grown up as neighbors. He and Books & Books are the Gold Standard. And our Urban Sketchers is having a meet up at the Biltmore at the end of August! Congratulations on your tour and enjoy.

I kept thinking the Biltmore would be a great place for an art retreat! That neighborhood is amazing too.

Yes, Coral Gables is gorgeous. Have you been to Fairchild Tropical Garden? Founded by botanist David Fairchild. His home is in the Gables. And the Kampong and Coconut Grove are really really lovely. You would really appreciate it.

We used to go to the Venetian Pool as kids. A quarry turned pool with limestone, waterfalls, a ‘Rialto bridge’ and Venetian ‘barber’ poles.

The First Congregational Church host Books & Books events, classical music. I saw the Tibetan Buddhist monks perform music there as well. It’s more or less across the street from the Biltmore.
