I thought the booth of wind blown bills was a joy, until I tittered out loud to the giant cheque. But on reflection that would really embarrass me, so roll in the wind machine NOW!
How about a giant treasure chest full of doubloons and precious gems with an X marking the spot where it sits? Or what about velvet bags of diamonds that you can sift through your fingers like they do in heist movies?
What do you think of having guards dressed like Roman sentries or medieval knights in armor or chain mail, who could stand on either side of the vault doors? Maybe have a sliding bookshelf that hides the vault doors or wall safes that are hidden behind extravagant oil paintings?
How about a candyland type of experience where if you spent, you slide back and you go through a maze with an end goal. On your travel, you get a lollipop or a bonbon (I’m partial to chocolate), when you reach your goal - then you can get that giant check (I love that idea). Then off you go to another land to conquer the next set of financial goal!
Hi. I am a Title One Tutor in Charlotte. Many of our families struggle with food deserts, housing and transportation. But our families are the kindest and best people I have ever met!!!! Yes! How about this? For every perfect attendance day, a bank deposits the number of students x $1 into a bank account for the school? Then that fund can be used for academic celebrations, emergency funds or whatever is needed! What a great way to teach show up and your presence counts! Literally!
What if loan papers, certificates, deeds, etc. had to be written in calligraphy on parchment scrolls and tied with ribbons instead of stapled together? Then, the bank official would use sealing wax and a giant signet ring to ‘notarize’ the documents.
I am old enough to remember when these *were* written on fancy documents like the "Railroad Stock" certificates that you see in old movies. My first stock purchases, now aged into a digital account, were documents to have and to hold in a safe place.
My idea is that the bank have a giant room that is a Library like those found in grand stately manors - open concept two stories tall (so there’s a balcony for the upper level with a spiral staircase to reach it) fill with books on beautiful wooden shelves. There are ladders on sliding rails to reach the books on upper shelves. There are soft things to sit on upholstered in velvet. Your money is stored in small denominations tucked inside the books. You can go take any book off the shelf and open it and out flutters some $20s or $5s or even $100s!
My first white collar job was working in a bank. I got to see loads of cash when I worked there. We made up pay packets for factory workers and filled them with actual cash. In the vault there were stacks and stacks of bills. I don't think any of these things exist now, but it was thrilling. I worked there from age 18 to 21. I was the first woman teller to work the regular banking, vs savings teller. What a thrilling place to work for me. It was the Cass Bank and Trust, at 13th and Cass Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri.
Well, that was just a delightful start to my day! Happy Friday! (It's Friday, right?)

FUNNY! thank you Amy 😊
How about equivalents in other things? Like: “your account could buy THIS many bottles of wine, Hot Wheel cars, gallons of ice cream, books.” 😂

This was a delight to read on a Friday! ❤️ I’m not a paid subscriber but is the painting water tutorial available to preview? 🙏🏼
All the art lessons are here, and I believe everybody gets a free preview or two:

Hahaha! Your husband is very lucky. Please tell him I said so 😁
I am very lucky!
:)
And one more idea to make banks fun:

Haha, love all your ideas but I think my fave is the first one , jumping around in the blow up tent with cash flying sounds fun!
Although the hunky dude strapped to my silver briefcase full of cash might be another kind of fun!😉
I really like Jane’s treasure chest idea!

How about a merry-go-round, but instead of a brass ring, you pull out your money?
