Art 80: Live Painting Demo from Key Largo

Greetings from Key Largo, Florida! I was here in February to do some research for my next book (and also, let’s face it, because it was February and I wanted to see the sun). While I was there, I filmed some sketching videos for you.

As you read this, I am once again on the road, so I’ve scheduled these to go out in advance. I hope it’s useful to see how you can tackle a subject live, in person, with only a short amount of time to draw and paint. I’d like to do more of these on-location videos—and I’m always trying to figure out how to improve the filming process without lugging tripods and cameras around—so let me know if you’d like to see more of them or if you find the in-studio versions more useful.
