Hi everyone!
I had a great conversation last night with Jade Wheeler, the narrator of the audiobook edition of my book The Tree Collectors. We talked about everything from the extra research she does before narrating a book, to the encroachment of AI into audiobook narration, to her work as an actress and her extraordinary language skills (Jade can get by in five languages and can ask where the bathroom is in three more!)
Anyway, here’s our conversation:
Supporters are drawing the holidays
For just a few bucks a month, you can be a supporter of this endeavor and join me in making some art. There are over 60 video lessons in the archive, and you’ll get all of that as soon as you sign up.
This month, I invited people to send me photos of anything that says “holiday” or “winter” to them, and I’m drawing those photos, filming it, and sending the finished drawings out to whoever was kind enough to send me a picture.
These are meant to be quick sketches that you can do in under half an hour. Casual and fun and low-stakes. Fill a sketchbook with them and I promise you’ll love the result. Join us, or give a subscription as a gift to anyone you know who wants to get into some daily drawing and painting.
