Art Lesson #55: Pumpkins & Squashes

Be the artist in residence of fall - at the farmers market

Hi everybody!

I am hearing from so many people right now who are doing some sort of unofficial artist residency. I really want to feature some of these in an upcoming newsletter, so for the moment I’ll just say: Keep me posted! I want to see what you’re working on! So as promised, I filmed a little demo about pumpkins and squashes, because they are surely the star of the show in autumn. I went to the farmer’s market, which looks kind of like this:

…and I filled a bunch of pages with drawings of pumpkins and squashes from various farms.

It’s always a good idea to draw one thing a lot of times! You’ll figure out what you like and what you don’t like, and you’ll stumble into some good ideas.
