Art Lesson #46: Water, simplified

Let's try a small, simple water scene

I started offering these art lessons almost a year ago, on September 15. As we get close to the one-year anniversary of this little adventure, I want to knock out a few requests I’ve had from some of you:

• Painting water (that’s today)

• A demo of painting with gouache (this will also be about water)

• Perspective, vanishing lines, and vanishing points (it’s easier than it sounds!)

• Focal points, which is different from a vanishing point

So that’s all coming! If you have requests along these lines, please send them to me.

For the second year of this venture, I have an idea for something new and different we could do together, and I’ll let you know about that soon.
