Put it all together! Can you see how this works now? Ink first, then one pass with a light color for each tree, then another pass with a darker color. That’s it!

This is going to be super short…

Life has been a little hectic for me lately as I get ready for book tour. I’ve pre-recorded some things for you that are scheduled to go out while I’m on the road.

So…I’m writing this in the past, and you are reading it in the future! Crazy how that works.

Anyway, I was not able to make a full-on demo for you this time, but I think you’ll understand it, based on everything we’ve already done with trees. And if you’re new here and you want to catch up on all things trees, the archive is right here for you and the trees start with #37.

I’m also just going to write out a step-by-step for you:

  1. Lightly sketch out the major shapes. These should just be blobs. You don’t have to get real specific.
