Why make collage in a travel sketchbook?
Lots of reasons!
You’re not interested in drawing and painting, but you have lots of cool photos and bits of paper from your trip that you’d like to use
You’ll do some drawing or painting, but not enough to fill a sketchbook and you still want a souvenir of that place
You’re mostly a writer, but you want a few visual elements in your travel diary
You’re more of a scrapbooker/paper lover and you’d like to work that into your travels
You do loads of drawing and painting, but sometimes you mess up a page terribly and you’d love to cover it up in some way that looks intentional
All good reasons! Let’s get into it.
Oh—also, this is part three of a series on travel sketching. To see the earlier posts, go here and here.
