Art Lesson #17: A Watercolor Landscape with Cocktails

Let me paint something for you!

Here’s one of two paintings I made for Melissa. This came from her comment the she enjoys cocktails al fresco with her husband.

I’m happy to share a new feature of this here newsletter, in which I will draw or paint something for you, make it into a lesson for everyone, and then send you the art.

There are a couple ways this can happen:

One is that you can subscribe at the “Founding Members” level, which I call Patron of the Arts, and I’ll do yours right away, as I’m doing for Melissa today. I tend to underpromise and overdeliver on these—it was supposed to be a 4x6 postcard, and instead Melissa’s getting two 6x8-ish paintings, one of which I’m going to show to you today. Can’t always promise that’s going to happen, but that is my tendency.
