How did those pencil sketches go?

Last week, we drew some pencil sketches of birds. I said that I thought that drawing birds offers a way to practice drawing just about everything else, because so many basic drawing techniques come into play.

This week, I wasn’t going to include the pencil sketch in these videos, because we already did that part. But I made a lot of mistakes as I drew this one, and had to measure and use proportions to fix those mistakes. So I decided this was a good example of the idea that drawing birds will teach you how to draw anything. Watch how I noticed what was wrong and how I fixed it:
