The Drunken Botanist--coming in March!
Dear Friends,
I'm pleased to announce the publication of The Drunken Botanist in March 2013. Kirkus Reviews is calling it "A rich compendium of botanical lore for cocktail lovers."
It's available now for pre-order through independent bookstores nationwide, as well as Amazon and Barnes & Noble and anywhere else books are sold. Audio and ebook editions are also on the way, and the tour kicks off next month! Read on:
Let's get together! I'm packing my suitcase and hitting the road. We've lined up events all over the country this spring--and I'll be pouring cocktails at many of them. Go here for a list of spring tour dates.
I'll be in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Miami, New York, Boston, Phoenix, Austin, Albuquerque, Chapel Hill--and more!
We're still finalizing a few details, so if you don't see your city listed, please do check back, or drop me an email if you'd like to talk about arranging an event in your area.
Cheers!
Amy Stewart
Check out my cocktail garden--and grow your own! The February issue of Sunset Magazine will feature my garden of cocktail-friendly plants.
If you'd like to grow your own herbs, fruits, vegetables, and flowers for cocktails and infusions, I'm posting recipes, growing tips, videos, and more at DrunkenBotanist.com.
Where to get the plants? Take a look at Territorial Seed Company's Drunken Botanist Plant & Seed Collection.
They let me comb through their entire catalog to choose my favorite plants--and then create cocktail recipes with them! That's the most fun I've ever had with a plant catalog.
Many of these plants will also be sold in garden centers on the West Coast this spring, thanks to the efforts of the creative, cocktail-loving folks at Log House Plants.
They'll post a list of participating retailers soon, so please do check back!
