Kopp Sisters Literary Society--Let's Get Together!
Kopp Sisters Literary Society
Time to Hit the Road!
Y'all know this is not actually me--I am the world's lightest packer. But I am getting on a plane tomorrow, and I'll be on the road for most of September and October.
Want to meet up IRL?
If you, the members of the Kopp Sisters Literary Society, can make it to any of these events, please hit me up and maybe we can grab some coffee beforehand or something. Truly, I would love to meet up with you! Just reply to this email if you want to do that.
THANK YOU for your thoughtful reviews & shares!
As you know, reader reviews have come to mean everything in this weird media/digital landscape we all live in now. So your reviews on Goodreads, your Instagram posts, all of it--it means so much to me and my publisher.
Pub date is Tuesday and I'm pretty sure that's the day you're allowed to post Amazon reviews if that's the sort of thing you like to do.
Also, at some point in the next month or two, I'll be sending out one of those surveys like I did last year. The survey results help me convince my publisher to print an extra 50 galleys of the next book just for you--so please keep an eye on your in-box for that.
Hey does anybody want to do a group video chat on Skype?
Would any of you like to get together on Skype and talk about--well, anything and everything? Could be writing, art, research, the Kopp sisters themselves, the publishing process, the good, bad, and ugly of book tours--really, it's up to you. This is just a chance for us to get together.
Go here to let me know if any of these times work for you.
In other news...
Let's see, what else can I tell you? Okay, all of this is basically a secret, so don't tell anybody:
In the on-again, off-again world of getting your book made into a TV show, my deal has been more off than on lately. But something hopeful is happening on Thursday, so keep your fingers crossed for me.
Also, I'm nearly done with Book 6, which we are tentatively calling Dear Miss Kopp because it's a novel told in letters between the three sisters (and other parties) while they are apart during WWI. Should be out next September. And I'm starting to tinker with #7, which is a bit of a change for the series. The war is over, the Kopps are doing the thing they did next after the war, and I'm figuring out how I want to tell that story and what might be different going forward. We're even thinking of changing the covers slightly starting wtih #7, to suggest this new direction in their lives, but we're not sure what that would look like.
I really can't believe I'm working on #7. When I proposed this series to my publisher, I thought it was crazy to suggest there might be as many as 7 books (How was I going to write SEVEN books???), and here we are. With many more to come...I hope.
Okay, I'm off to pack. My life is about to be all about airports, hotels, trying not to catch a cold (did you know that flu shots are late this year? Believe me, I will be checking every drugstore I see for the arrival of flu shots!), wondering where I can get something healthy to eat, feeling guilty about not exercising, and watching way too much HGTV while sit in a hotel room answering emails.
Fun! Hope to see you out there!
Cheers,
Amy
